New Hearing Aid Wearer Assistance

At Audibel, we know the importance of hearing because we see how it impacts people every day. Helping people hear better is all we do. It’s all we’ve ever done. Hearing is our passion, our focus and our purpose. Hearing aids allow you to function better in all areas of your life, but we understand it can take some time getting comfortable using or even wearing them. Wearing hearing aids for the first time is a big step, and Audibel is here to take that step with you. Our clinicians will be happy to help you troubleshoot any hearing aid issues you may be experiencing or walk you through routine hearing aid maintenance.

Wearing a Hearing Aid for the First Time? Introducing Our New Patient Maintenance Service

For new patients only, we are proud to offer a special service to help better acquaint you with your new listening device. Our New Patient Hearing Aid Maintenance includes services designed to fine-tune your hearing aid to your specific needs including fitting, cleaning, testing, and additional services to help you get a clearer picture of your unique hearing loss situation.

1. Fitting

One of our hearing aid specialists will determine the best level of correction and amplification for your hearing loss. This service is critical to getting the most out of your new hearing device without further damaging your inner ear.

2. Smartphone Bluetooth connection assistance

Many prescription and over-the-counter hearing aids are smartphone compatible with Bluetooth, especially those that pair with the Hear Share App. Our staff will help pair your hearing device to your smartphone so you can get more out of your experience.

3. Cleaning

A specialist will walk you through proper cleaning and care for your new hearing aids with the proper tools. Regularly cleaning your device will ensure it is in optimal working condition and provide the best sound quality.

4. Testing

Our staff will test your hearing aids in action not only to make sure your device is working properly but also to check whether or not it needs additional fine-tuning for your specific hearing needs.

5. Physical ear exam

A clinician will perform a physical examination for a better understanding of the inner workings of your ears.

6. Ear cleaning

A staff member will gently clean your ear for wax buildup which can in fact affect the quality of your hearing. Often times, earwax impaction is the most common cause of conductive hearing loss and also the easiest to treat. Having your ears cleaned professionally will eliminate this cause and also improve your hearing device experience.

7. Hearing test

One of our clinicians will perform a pure-tone test and speech-recognition test to assess your actual hearing levels. This hearing test will provide a measure of the sensitivity of your hearing across a full range of speech which will inform your clinician and you of your degree of hearing loss.
